Madinah (Madinah al-Munawwarah) is the second holiest city in Islam and holds immense spiritual importance for Muslims around the world. It is the city where Prophet Muhammad (Peace & Blessings of God Be Upon Him) migrated from Makkah and established the first Islamic state. Madinah is home to Masjid an-Nabawi, one of the most sacred mosques in Islam, which contains the blessed resting place of the Prophet.

The History of Madinah
Madinah’s history is closely linked to the Hijrah (migration) of Prophet Muhammad (Peace & Blessings of God Be Upon Him) from Makkah. Formerly known as Yathrib, the city became the center of Islam after the Prophet’s arrival. It was here that the foundations of Islamic society, brotherhood, and governance were laid.
